Mary Lynda Burns, age 76, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Mary Lyna was born on August 2, 1947, to Gay and Eula Faye (Thomas) Burns in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She worked many years for Jordan Home Health in Mount Vernon. She enjoyed gardening and mowing the yard. Mary Lynda was described to have a spit-fire personality.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.

Mary Lynda is survived by her brother, Bobby (Shirley) Burns of Mount Vernon; sister-in-law, Glenda Burns-Brooks; and a very special friend, Kim Johnson. Several nieces and nephews.
