A Come and Go Visitation will be on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Kreymer Cemetery in Wylie, Texas at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gerald Hood and Pamela Barnard Officiating.
Mary Christine (Hoffard) Hiser-Parish, age 59, of Mt. Vernon, Texas (formerly of Greenville and Garland) passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Chrissy was born on May 31, 1961 in McKinney, Texas to Kenneth and Geraldine (Wester) Hoffard. She married David Parish on April 15, 1996. Chrissy attended High School in Garland. She started work at Hewlett-Packard as a temporary Kelly Girl and worked there until they shut her department down after 911. Chrissy worked at Greenville ISD in the kitchen and later worked as a caregiver. She attended Miller Road Church of God for many years and later Lake Chapel House of Prayer. Chrissy was a member of the Pinky Ladies Group. She was the life of the party and her home was always filled with laughter and young people. She was a Coca-Cola collector. She also loved precious moments figurines and she loved to make candles. Chrissy had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that could be heard over every one else. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Her greatest joy was her children and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Parish; brother, David Lynn Hoffard and Kenneth Lee Hoffard.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Kenneth and wife, Denise Hiser of Mesquite, Texas, Cameron Hiser of Greenville, Texas; granddaughter, Tawnee Hiser of McKinney, Texas; son, John Parish and wife, Pamela, of Emory and children, Makayla Renee Parish and Jaxon Wallace Parish. Daughter, Jennifer Johnson and husband, Bubba of Durant, Oklahoma and children, William “Nole” Peterson, III and Macie Elaine Peterson. A host of close cousins, and many, many friends.
Thank you Dr. Jean and Marie Latortue for the wonderful care you gave Chrissy. Thank you to the residents of Mount Vernon and the employees of The Mount Vernon House Assisted Living that showed love to her.
