Michael White Obituary

Michael C White, beloved husband of Susan Thompson White, died at home on Friday, August 12th at 1:30 am.

Married and in love a short 10 years, they shared their Scottish heritage, love of Celtic music, and their deep faith in a loving God, Jesus Christ. They also shared many adventures and fun together while traveling the US, and after living in three states, settled in Texas on their own homestead in the Piney Woods.

Born in Hickman, Nebraska to Noah and Wanda, their family moved to WA when Michael was 5. Father to 6 children: two infants (deceased),  Dwayne (deceased), Brandon, Heather and Danielle. Grandfather to Adrian, Derrick and Leesha, and Autumn. Step father to Sgt. Randall Walker.  Brother to Barbara, Steven (Carmen), Cathy, Randy (Jenny), and Cindy.  Uncle to Ryan (Sarah) and Tim (Lynda), Jessica (Jon Kershner), Stephen McIntyre (Marjorie) and Michelle McIntyre..

With his dad and brothers, he acted as a Volunteer Fireman in S King County. The desire to serve was born in him early.

Following in his brother's footsteps, Michael served 4 years in the Air Force. He became a Law Enforcement Officer and was honorably discharged.

Michael's career was varied; his favorite was as a Deputy Sheriff for S. King County. But his great desire was to be a Pro-Wrestler. He credited his mother, who took him to many matches as a young man. Alas, at 5'10", he was adverse to pain and ironically undersized for that endeavor. His favorite wrestler was Roddy Piper, the original Scottish wrestler.

He coached softball, various kid's sports, and sported his Santa suit many times to the delight of kids and seniors!

Michael sat on the Board of the Seattle Scottish Highland Games Association for many years serving as its' president for 2 of them.

Michael never passed up an opportunity to MC at the Tartan Ball fundraiser, and loved donning his kilts. He was a fine bonnie figure, especially after growing his white hair into true Scot style!

He acted as Security for the Seattle Seahawks, guarding the Umpires. They honored him with a Game coin when he retired.

He volunteered with Ronald McDonald House of Seattle, dressing contestants for their campaign 'Men In Kilts' for 3 years. In their calendar version, he was Mr. February.

He organized 2 Celtic concerts, featuring local talent to spread the Scottish music and heritage for Arts in the Park in WA.

Raised Southern Baptist, he rededicated his life to Christ 11 years ago. He was born-again and lived his remaining life serving others in his church, Canyon Hills Community Church in Bothell, WA. He wanted to continue serving in Texas at The Gathering of Mt. Vernon but cancer got a foothold, taking away his strength and ability to do so.

Having lived a full life, and full of life he was, he will be missed by the many lives he touched upon.
