Michael (Mike) Tom Long

Mike Long, age 71, of Mount Vernon passed away Thursday,  March 5, 2020 in Tyler, Texas

Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 7, 2020 at the Blodgett Church Of Christ.

Michael Thomas Long was born in Tyler, Texas on September 1, 1948 to Philip Mac Long and Mary Jo Adams Long.  He married Beth Floyd on July 20, 1967 in Mount Vernon, Texas.  Mike served our country in the U.S. Navy.  He was a member of the Blodgett Church of Christ and was the former minister of the Saltillo Church of Christ.  He was a retired agriculture teacher and school administrator..

Mike is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Philip Mac Long, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Long of 52 years of marriage; sons, Tommy Long and his wife, Terri Lynn, Ricky Greene and wife Denise; brother, Joe Zack Long and wife, Lana and their son; sisters, Neva Gay Bryant and husband, Bill and their children; aunt, Fern Kilcrease; uncle, Zack Adams and wife, Lane; grandchildren, Monica Long, Mackenzi Miller and husband, Zach, Trey Long and wife, Karina; great grandchildren, Atticus Long and Nicholas Miller.
