Norma Jean Sparks

Norma Jean Sparks of Mt. Vernon, Texas was born August 5, 1929, in Paris, Texas to Robert Hearlson and Lucille Nelms.  She passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at her home.

She is survived by one brother, Don Nelms (Millie) of Fayetteville Arkansas; one daughter, Glenna Meadows (John) of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one son, Steve Lawler of Little Rock, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Mark Meadows (Kaytlin) of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Mallory Lawler of Hot Springs, Arkansas; great grandchildren, Kelsea and Asa Meadows, Ashley Burney, Brandi Riley, Jackson Lawler, Bentley and Braxton Simpson; nephews, David and Dennis Nelms and their families; daughter-in-law, Susan Sparks; step grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson and Joshua Sparks; stepson, David Sparks (Edie) and caregivers, Juana Fiscal, Gale Bozeman, and Linda Barrett.

She was preceded in death by her parents R.H. and Lucille Nelms and husband Pat Sparks. 

Visitation will be at 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel - Monday, December 23, 2019.  

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation at the Sam B. Harvey Chapel - Monday, December 23, 2019.    

Interment - Mt. Vernon City Cemetery
