Peter John Cullen

Peter John Cullen, age 85, of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, in Mount Vernon.

Peter was born on July 22, 1940, to Ernest and Lydia (Thurston) Cullen in London, England, UK.

He married Wilma June Sullivan on February 10, 2006, in Essex, England.

He is survived by his children, Samantha Green and family, Dexter Cullen and family, Clifford Cullen and family, Abigale Cullen and family; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. His adopted family, Chris and Kathy Johnson, Abby Lovier, Lawrence Johnson, Daniel and Louise Shimanek, and Nathanael Shimanek.

Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; his parents Ernest and Lydia Cullen.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior at 1:00 pm. Rev. Keith Barnes will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Shimanek, Chris Johnson, Nathan Brown, Zack Fancher, JL Rogers and Jared Barnett. Interment will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery.
