Randle "Randy" Ray Green

Randle "Randy" Ray Green, age 64, of Mt. Vernon, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

A Come and Go Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home from 1:00-8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oasis Church in Mt. Vernon with Ron Howard, Bobby Berger, and Brian Gurley officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Max Cannaday, Randy Conarroe, Scott Lee, Ricky Jones, James Hawkins, Brantin Carr. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Everett, Tony Garner, and Pedro Valle.

Randy was born to Randle Edward and Patsy (Vest) Green on September 17, 1957 in Naples, Texas.  He married Alice Marie Hargis on October 8, 1977 in Marietta, Texas.  He served in law enforcement for 37 years.  Randy was the sergeant of the Mt. Vernon Police Department for 11 years and then worked as a constable in Franklin County, Texas for 19 years. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shonta Green; father, Randle Green; mother, Patsy Roberts; brothers, James Green and Larry Green.

Randy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie Green of Mt. Vernon, Texas; Daughter and son-in-law, Chasity and Taylor Sharon; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Olivia Green all of Mt. Vernon, Texas.  Granddaughters, Kailye Green of McKinney, Texas, Calie Green of Mt. Vernon, Texas and Averie Sharon of Mt. Vernon, Texas. Grandsons, Michael Green of Mt. Vernon, Texas, Marshall Green of Mt. Vernon, Texas, Kalum Sharon of Mt. Vernon, Texas. Sister and brother-in-law, Tanya and Joe Tally of Greenville, Texas.
