Reid M Waltman

Reid M. Waltman, age 99, of Red Oak, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Ennis, Texas.

The Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home at 12:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Macon Cemetery with Marc Snodgress officiating.

Reid was born to Paul Ralph and Loretta “Farrell” Waltman on June 10, 1922 in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.  He married Betty Jo Maynard on April 25, 1985 in Rockwall, Texas.  Reid was a Geologist and a Petroleum Geologist and had a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Agriculture. He served in the Army/Air Corp during WWII. He was a member of the 459th Bomb group.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joan Waltman, and daughter, Amber Mathes.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Betty Jo Waltman of Red Oak, Texas; daughter, Barbara Foy of Georgia; son, Biff Waltman of Pennsylvania; son, Barry Waltman of Washington State; daughter, Heather Maynard of Texas; son, Shawn Maynard of Texas and many grandchildren.
