Rex Wayne McPeters

Rex Wayne McPeters age 91, of Azle, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Wayne was born on January 15, 1932, in Bryan, Texas, to Morris Allen and Exa (Miller) McPeters. 

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, June 30, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with Pepper Puryear officiating.  Interment will immediately follow at the Mount Vernon City Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his parents.

Wayne lived a rich full life. He graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas with a major in agriculture. Wayne was a farmer and a horse and cattle rancher. He also drove a large tractor trailer, hauling just about anything you could imagine. Wayne was also a Christian man who read his Bible from cover to cover many times over. He was instrumental in helping others understand some of the scriptures. He was particularly interested in Bible prophecy and the book of Revelation.

He was a good man, was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.

Wayne is survived by the wife of his youth, Betty Parks; son, Rodney Lynn McPeters; daughters, Redonna Kay (Kerry David) Kochiss and Marsha Gail (David Henry) Simmons; grandchildren, Amber Kay Brown, Kerry David Kochiss II, Kevin Wayne McPeters, Jeremy Kai Peterson, Lydia Marie Nichols, and 10 great grandchildren.
