Rheta Valene (Hicks) Kerce, age 90, of Burleson, Texas, passed away on December 30, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Memaw, as she was known by family, was born March 22, 1935, in Mount Vernon, Texas, to Theo and Ruby Blackburn Hicks.

She married Charles C. Kerce, Jr.

Memaw is survived by her children, Guy Charles Kerce, Melissa Dawn Brown, and Kristi Michelle White; grandchildren, John Kerce, Heather Kerce, Jennifer Rabalais, Greg Hutchison, Micha Leyva, Rebecca Olague, Aaron Alvarado, and Justin Alvarado; 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theo and Ruby Hicks; sister, Alice Manley; husband, Charles C. Kerce, Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 am at Mount Vernon City Cemetery with her grandson, Aaron Alvarado officiating.
