Richard Harold Bazemore

Richard Harold Bazemore, age 75 of Scroggins, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 30,1949, in Washington D.C., to Leonidas F. Bazemore and Mary Helen (Hill) Bazemore.

Richard proudly served his country by joining the United States Air Force February 15, 1970, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was a dedicated draftsman by trade and worked many years in the profession.

Richard was united in marriage to Christel Margot Heske.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Roberts; son-in-law, Tyronne Burnett; grandson, Kevin Navejar; granddaughter-in-law, Julissa Banegas; great grandchildren, Kashton Navejar, Amelia Navejar, and Layla Banegas; and son, Kenny Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christel Bazemore and his parents.

Richard had a deep passion for anything related to boats and fishing. He loved the water, and anyone who visited wondered why he joined the Air Force and not the Navy.  His love for the outdoors and boating was a defining part of his life.

The family will hold a private memorial service in his honor.
