Robby Gerald Jones

Robby Gerald Jones, age 63, a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in Tyler Texas.

There Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with Garry Jordan officiating. Pallbearers will be Ricky Jones, Garry Jordan, Avis Jones, Dale Jones, Mike Brown, and Kevin Keils. Interment will immediately follow at Providence Cemetery.

Robby was born on September 20, 1960, in Mount Vernon to Robbie Gene and Mary Ethel (Brown) Jones.  He was retired but had worked for Texas Utilities. He also spent many years working the pipeline in North Dakota. Robby was a Mount Vernon graduate of the class of 1979. He was a semi pro at water skiing. He enjoyed riding horses and going to the rodeo. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robbie and Mary Jones.

Survivors include his sister, Regena and Garry Jordan of Sulphur Springs; his brother, Ricky and Sheleace Jones of Mount Vernon; nieces & nephews, Jeremy & Melissa Jordan of Blakely, GA, Joshua & Leslie Jordan of Madisonville, LA, and Laura and Jon Lee of Oaxaca, Mexico. 6 great nephews and 4 great nieces. Numerous cousins and extended family.
