Robert "Pops" Dean Williamson

Robert “Pops” Dean Williamson, Sr. age 61, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on February 29, 2024, in Plano, Texas surrounded by his family. Pops was born September 5, 1962, to Bill Williamson and Charlene Pittman in Shiloh Valley, Illinois.

He attended University High School and graduated in 1981. Pops worked as a mechanic for the largest part of his life. He loved everyone he came in contact with and always had a smile on his face. He would give anyone the shirt off his back and always put his family first. His favorite things included wrestling, flags, eagles, and spending time with his family. He was employed most recently by Brookshire’s in Mount Vernon, Texas.

He married Jessica “Nana” Krawczyk and they were raising their two grandsons; Josiah and Izaiah Williamson. His children include Carrie Williamson, Stacy Deyo, Sarah Hodgson, and Robbie Williamson; grandchildren, Kaylee, Chris and Erik; other family members include, Marie Byrd, Roy Smith, Crystal Johnson, Tyna Truong, Lisa Williamson, Lana Williamson, numerous cousins,  extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Williamson; mother, Charlene Capaus; stepfather, Joe Capaus; brother, Albert Williamson; grandparents, and many cousins.

A special thank you to Crystal for staying by his side at the hospital. You being there means a lot.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at Mount Vernon Oasis at 113 FM 115 on April 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM with Bro. Bobby Berger officiating. Dress is casual, come as you are. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to cover Robert’s expenses.
