Ronny Eugene Easterling

Ronny E. Easterling, age 76, of Talco, Texas passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Ronny was born to Harry Eugene and Betty Gay (Stewart) Easterling on December 3, 1948, in Mount Vernon, Texas.

He married Katrina Caldwell on October 22, 1994. Ronny was involved in the founding of The Franklin County Sheriff’s Posse, a member of Texas Longhorn Breeder’s Association, International Texas Longhorn Breeder’s Association, Oklahoma Equestrian Trail Rider’s Association, Mt. Pleasant Fire Department and East Texas Medical Center, and the Old West Cowboy Reenactment Association. He loved horses and hunting.

He is survived  by his wife of 36 years, Katrina; daughter, Kourtney Ashley (Damon Croley) and Kassity (Justin) Taylor; grandchildren, Kamryn Taylor, Mathis Taylor, Whitney Ashley, and Colton Stevenson; his faithful, service companion, Baylee.

Ronny was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Gayla Richardson.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2 pm at the Sulphur River Cowboy Church with Rev. Dr. Pam Zolczer and Frank Johnson officiating.
