Ruth (Estes) O'Briant

Ruth O’Briant, age 92 of Leesburg, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in Pittsburg, Texas.

Ruth was born July 1, 1932, in Idalou, Texas, to H.N. and Stella (Vernon) Estes.

She married Allen Lee O’Briant on July 8,1950 and was one week away from their 70th anniversary when he passed away in 2020. They were members of the Blodgett church of Christ. Ruth was a homemaker.

Ruth is survived by her children; Linda and H.L. Robertson, Mike O’Briant and Pat and Susie O’Briant; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Jack and Iris Estes; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years, her parents, H.N. and Stella Estes; sisters, Jeanie Estes, Mary Cornelius, and Bonnie Jones.

A graveside memorial will be held on Saturday, October 26,2024 at the Blodgett Cemetery for Allen and Ruth at 2:00 p.m. with Larry Black officiating.
