Sallie Ann (Strickland) Bridges

Sallie Ann (Strickland) Bridges, age 87 of Mount Pleasant, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. She lived many years at the Mount Vernon House Assisted Living in Mount Vernon, Texas.

Sallie was born in Mount Vernon, Texas, on August 7, 1937, to Sydney Y. Strickland and Arrie M. King Strickland and was the youngest of 9 children.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Karen) Bridges and Nina (Steve) Allen, all of Magnolia, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kelly Bridges, Kimberly (Caney) Hicks, Lindsy Jaggers, Jacob (Kelsie) Jaggers; six great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews, Johnnie (Rita) Foster and Lillie Bush Reves (Nathan).

She was preceded in death by her infant sons, Bobby, Malcolm Jr, and Timothy; parents, Sid and Arrie Strickland; her siblings, and a great granddaughter, Fallyn Fort.

 Visitation will be held at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10 a.m. and the Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Jarrod Hammond and Preston McElyea officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Johnnie Foster, Sr., Nathan Reves, Johnnie Foster, Jr., William Bush, Randy Ross, and Chris Ross.
