Sandra Anne Christian, age 67, of Scroggins, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
A Celebration of Life service will be on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon with Craig Clark officiating.
Sandy was born on April 20, 1956, in Brady, Texas to Harold and Louise Brown. She attended school in Dublin, Texas and nursing school in Stephenville, Texas.
Sandy loved her job as an LVN and worked her 34 year career in nursing homes. She had a heart for caring and advocating for the elderly under her care. Sandy also worked raising calves and owned and ran a greenhouse business for a time to make sure her children had all they needed. She loved the outdoors, plants, reading and animals, but above all she loved her kids and granddaughters and did all she could to show them her love and support in numerous ways. Sandy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul; and her parents, Harold and Louise Brown.
Survivors include her children and their spouses; stepdaughter, Jessica and Chad Hallman of Mississippi and their children Jaci and Jenna; sons, Will and Rachel Christian of Colorado and Buck Spurger of Washington State; daughter, Sarah and Jeramy Brod of Scroggins. Grandchildren, Addy Bolt and Alana Brod; brother, Travis and Georgia Brown; sister, Patti and Ronnie Webb and nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
