Sharon Kay Chance, age 69, of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away Sunday morning, November 30, 2025, at her residence.
Sharon was born May 28, 1956, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to Hubert and Norma Jean (White) Wiley.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—crossword puzzles that kept her mind sharp, embroidery that reflected her patience and creativity, and purses that expressed her unique style. Her faith and devotion to her church (Church of Christ- Mount Vernon) were a guiding light, and every day she treated herself to a Coke Icee, a small ritual that brought her comfort and delight. These little loves tell the story of a woman whose warmth and spirit touched everyone around her.
She married Donald Chance on August 17, 1984, in Clarksville, Texas.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Don Chance; her daughter and husband, Kaysee and Cole Mobley; grandson, Cade Mobley; step-mom, Sue Wiley; brothers, Ronnie and Patti Wiley, Roger and Debra Wiley; step-sisters, Jeannie McGuire, Sandra and Burt Joyner, Arnita and Rickey Cavender; sister-in-law, Brenda Rogers; nephews, Shane and Elizabeth Wiley, and Chad Wiley.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Norma Jean Wiley and step- brother, Don Duffee.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 1:00- 2:00 pm at Sam B.
