Steven Douglas Tosh

Steve Douglas Tosh, 58, of Scroggins, Texas, passed away on November 23, 2023.

Steve was a clever, good-humored, playful, and empathic man who lived freely and was not afraid to throw in all his chips. While he wasn’t here for a long time, Steve was absolutely here for a good time. A true country boy, Steve enjoyed riding horses, motorcycles, old western movies, fishing, and drinking beer (your beer, if within reach). He was a "pull my finger" type of grandpa & uncle, who showed others his love in unique ways that were all his own. Steve was a master in the art of bartering, and you never knew what sort of hidden treasure he would show up with next, ready to make a trade.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Tosh; grandparents, Jimmy Dee and Pat Tosh, Basil Huddleston, Elmer and Lola Waldrop, and uncle, Jimmy Dale Tosh.

He is survived by his children, Glenn (Ashley) Tosh and Ashley (Derek) Hendrix; father, Sammy Tosh; sister, Stephanie (Robert) Summerlin; brother, Jason (Kim) Tosh; 7 grandchildren, (Taydin, Rylin, Linlee, & Noah Tosh, Faith Graham, Gracyn McQueen, & James Hendrix); nieces, Samantha (Emmy) Summerlin and Marisa (Aaron) Durbin; nephew, Justin Tosh, and great- nephews, Aiden and Charlie Durbin.

Steve will also be greatly missed by many other beloved relatives, significant others, friends, and fellow revelers.

A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Blodgett Church of Christ in Pittsburg, Texas with Larry Black officiating.
