Sunny Turner

Sonia “Sunny” Almira Turner, age 83, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on, Monday, January 4, 2021 in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will start immediately after visitation at 11:00  with Bro. Stephen Cotton officiating.  Interment will be at Providence Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shaun Bolin, Jeff Turner, Bobby White, Trent Davis, Brandon Turner, and Greg Smith.

Sunny was born on March 5, 1937 to Marie “Leece” Cornell and Oliver Joseph Prince in Jacksonville, Florida.  She married Eddie Gerald Turner on May 1, 1956 in the chapel at Parris Island, South Carolina.

Sunny was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Eddie Turner and her son, Windle Turner.

Survivors include her daughters, Carrie Turner of Mount Vernon, Texas, Pamela Smith and her husband Greg of Lititz, PA; 4 grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Natalie Turner White and her husband, Bobby White, Blair Turner Davis and her husband Trenton Davis, and Kelsey Turner Barnhard.  She is blessed with 8 great grandchildren: Kayda, Aubrey, Christian, Zachary, Grayson, Caroline, Holden and Perry.
