Tamika Shunte Criswell, age 45 of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away in Tyler, Texas, on July 9, 2024.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 12:00 pm at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service following at 1:00 pm.

Tamika was born March 15,1979, in San Francisco, California, to Johnathan Criswell and Glenda Brown. She was very hard-working. Tamika was caring, selfless, and determined to be the best mother and daughter to her family. She always put others before herself. Tamika was very outspoken about what she believed in.

Tamika was preceded in death by her father, Johnathan Criswell; her sister, LaShuna Willis.

Those left to cherish her memory is her mother, Glenda Brown; her daughter, Ashari Criswell; brother, Jose Edwards; nieces, LaShonta Willis, Latifa Stewart, Latquia Edwards; nephews, Isaiah Willis, Kintrell Grant, Xavier Wesley; great nephews, Jeremiah Willis, Ashton Willis; numerous cousins and extended family.
