Teresa Carol Gilbert, age 78, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, in Quitman, Texas. She was born in Mount Vernon, Texas on January 31, 1945.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Delmar Gilbert; mother, Leona Parchman; son, Shane Jackson; twin brother, Wallace Gilbert; brother, Danny Gilbert and her sister, Faye Chambers.
Teresa is survived by her 2 daughters and their spouses, Lana and Mark Johnson and Sherri and Jonathan Nisbett. 11 Grandchildren, Jonathan (Vanessa) Nisbett, Beth Mullins, Joey (Tisha) Nisbett, Charles (Laura) Burgess, Chelly (Jonathan) Llamas, Heather Fischer, Brandi (Chris) Brannon, Tyler (Gena) Nisbett, Nikki (Justin) Williams, Jacquelyn Hatley and Donna Nisbett. 23 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Teresa always told each of us that we were her favorite, and not to tell the others.
Mother, you are our favorite and we love you more.
Fly high and rest easy until we see you again.
A Family Led Memorial Service will be on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
