Tina Joanne Young

Tina Joanne Young of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, at the age of 60, after a long battle with cancer.

Tina was born on August 4, 1965, in Garland, Texas. Her parents were Henry Clay and Sandra Wells.

In her early years, Tina was a devoted veterinary assistant. Her love for animals was evident in her work, where she provided gentle care and compassion. Outside of work, she found joy in the little things — especially online shopping, scary movies, and family gatherings. Her artistic spirit shone through in everything she did, whether she was coloring, painting rocks, or expressing herself through art. Those lucky enough to know her were touched by her playful sense of humor, her creativity, and her deep love for her family.

She will be remembered not only for her talents and passions but for the love and laughter she brought into every room.

She was preceded in death by her son, Cory Chronister; father, Henry Clay Wells; grandmother, Martha Redburn; and her aunts, Cindy Farrar, Mary Fulmer, and Clinta Redburn.

Survivors include her sons Michael Chronister, Curtis Chronister, and Marty Chronister; mother, Sandra Wells and her sister, Tamye Wells.

A Family Led Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 11, 2025, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home.
