Tobby Ann McPheeters, age 89, of Richardson, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024.
Toby was born on September 21, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William “Babe” Myron and Roberta Belle (Putnam) Moore. She grew up with a love to dance.
Toby married Howard Scott McPheeters on August 1, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was well known in the Dallas Area as the owner and operator of Toby’s School of Dance for 56 years. She loved to scuba dive and spent at least one week a year in the Grand Cayman.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Howard Scott McPheeters; a grandchild, Brett Austin McIver; and her parents, William and Roberta Moore.
Toby is survived by her daughters, Paula and Gerald “Jerry” E. Holter of Sulphur Bluff, TX, Leslie Karen Hearn and partner Richard Nix of Edgewood, TX, and Laura Jeanette and Chuck Glen of Plano, TX; grandchildren, William Barrett Holter of Allen, TX, Geoffrey Elling Holter of Austin, TX, Arthur Tate Hearn and wife Courtney of Allen, TX, McKenzie Joy Hearn McGill of Denver, CO, David Scott McIver of Denton, TX, and Christopher Wayne McIver of Plano, TX; great grandchildren Naya and Aidan; one sister, Sandra Moore Chism of Scottsdale, AZ.
