Tony Dewayne Logan, age 55, passed away on December 6, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.
He was born on January 21, 1970, to Marshall Loyd and Judy Olene (Dyke) Logan in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Tony was a man of steel and steady hands, a respected Welder whose legacy was forged in the fire of the Local 155 Union in Arkansas.
With the blinding flash of his arc and the relentless strike of his hammer, Tony didn't just fuse metal; he welded a community. He was a respected professional, but his heart belonged equally to the men and women beside him. In the heart of that Union hall, amidst the sparks and the sweat, Tony found a second home and an iron-forged family that was as strong and enduring as the welds he laid down.
Yet, outside the shop, Tony found his truest joy in the simple, honest pleasures of life. He loved the outdoors, whether he was casting a line into the Sulphur River on a quiet morning or spending time in the woods during hunting season. His passion for nature was matched only by his love of good food. Tony was a true culinary craftsman, known for his skill at smoking meats to perfection and for the pies he baked with care—especially his beloved buttermilk-lemon pie, a cherished favorite among his daughters.
Above all, Tony cherished time with his family. Whether gathered around a meal he’d proudly prepared or sharing stories and laughter at home, those moments were his greatest happiness. His warmth, generosity, and steady presence will be remembered always.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Loyd Logan and grandparents Arthur and Callie Mae Logan and Allen and Annie Bell Dyke.
His survivors include his children, Callie Dunn and Roy of Mount Vernon, Devin Carruth and Dustyn of Mount Pleasant, and Madison Logan of Mount Pleasant. He is also survived by his mother, Judy Logan of Mount Pleasant; brother, Tim Logan and Teila of Mount Pleasant. Grandchildren are Johncye Logan, Winifred Dunn, Gus Carruth, Laurel Dunn, Roy Dunn III, and Marshall Dunn. Nieces and nephews, Trey Logan, Haley Morton and Brittany Logan. Special friend and mother of his children Heather Logan-Miller of Mount Vernon as well as his best companion dog, Marley Logan.
Tony leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
