Wade J Hill

Wade J. Hill, age 78 of Mount Pleasant, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Journey Church of the Nazarene in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Kevin Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Davis, Kelly Cobb, Patrick Davis, James Raines, Tris Thurman, and David Clark. Interment will be at the Old Saltillo Cemetery.

Wade was born on July 9, 1944 in Atascosa County, Texas to William and Sally Allene Hill.  He married Joyce Ann Roberts on February 23, 1963 in Duncanville, Texas.

Wade was a veteran and served in the United States Army. He owned Wade’s Carpet Cleaning Service and served the community of Mount Pleasant for over 30 years with his family by his side. He was a member of the Nazarene Church since 1974. Wade enjoyed ranching, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sally Hill; brothers, Bill Hill, Frank Hill, Tom Hill, and Joey Hill; one sister, Frances Hill.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joyce Ann Hill; son, Allen Hill and his wife, Maria; daughter, Cathy Hoffman and her husband, Billy; son, Tommy Hill and his wife, Gwen.  Grandchildren, Ray Wade Hill, Marce Hill, Crystal James, Cassy Hoffman, Kimberly Sierra, Patrick Hoffman, Jared Allen Hill, Karli Hill, Keely Hoffman, Jacob Hoffman. Great grandchildren, Landon, Sawyer, Kellan, Boston, Baylor, Tanner, Colt, Orlando and Samantha. Sister-in-law, Joan Cobb and Sally Davis. Sisters, Sally Wagner and Susie Colley; brother, Richard Hill and his wife, Sue and numerous extended family.
