Walter Frank Morgan, age 75, of Bogata, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024. He was born in Dallas, Texas, to Frank Martin Morgan and Irene Eloise (Stigall) Morgan on February 21, 1949, and was the first of six children. He attended Adamson High School in Dallas (Oak Cliff), Texas.
In 1967, Walter enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. Upon his return from military duty, he met Janet Myers, and they were married on February 27, 1970. Walter lived and worked in the Dallas area for many years as a commercial plumbing superintendent. He also taught continuing education classes for plumbers in the state of Texas.
Walter was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 160 in Lancaster, Texas, and served as a past master. Additionally, he was a 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet Morgan; son Jason Morgan; daughter-in-law Senecia Morgan; daughter Kimberly Moore; and son-in-law Kevin Moore.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Irene Morgan, and four of his siblings.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. The Funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jimmy Weaver officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Vaughn, Don Denhart, James Robert, Chris Gambill, Dylan Gambill, and Frank Mothersell. Interment will be at the Bogata City Cemetery.
