William Alexander Bennett, age 79, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with Pepper Puryear and Eugene Howeth officiating.
Bill was born on February 20, 1941 to Lilly “Morris” and Charlie Bennett in Quinlan, Texas. He was a rancher and worked for the City of Mount Vernon in animal control. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army and the National Guard of Texas as a reserve of the Army. He married Reba June Howeth in Mount Vernon, Texas on April 4, 1998.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sisters.
Those left to honor the memory of Bill include his wife of twenty-two years, Reba Bennett of Mt. Vernon, TX; sons, Johnny Bennett of Murchison, TX, Mark Bennett of Deport, TX, Ricky Lynn Milhorn of Florida, Danny Milhorn of Weatherford, TX; daughters, Angelia Kenney of Bonham, TX, Pamula Sue McFarland of Durant, OK; numerous grandkids and great grandkids.
