Winford Spharler Obituary
Winford “John” Spharler, age 70, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
John was born on July 26,1952 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Winford George and Merle Ella (Shackelford) Spharler.
John served in the United States Army in Vietnam in the 82nd Airborne Division then the United States Army Reserves and the Air Force Reserves.
He was preceded in death by his parents Winford George Spharler and Merle Ella Shackleford; sister, Lottie Ruth Spharler.
Survivors include his daughter Crystal and husband, George Perez; son, Shawn Spharler and wife, Aimee Spharler; grandsons, Gabriel Perez, Adam Spharler and Travis Spharler; granddaughter, Jazmine Perez-Turner and husband Charles; brothers, George Wayne Spharler and James David Spharler.
John will be laid to rest at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California at a later date.
